Abstract:
Provided is a method for welding steel plates, by which two steel plates can be reliably welded.
Specifically provided is a method for welding steel plates, in which a first steel plate (10) and a second steel plate (20) are welded while a first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10) and a second end edge (21) of the second steel plate (20) are butted, the method being provided with a first cutting step (S1) for cutting the first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10) in such a manner that the central portion (11c) of the first end edge (11) is located on the slightly inner side from one end (11a) and the other end (11b) thereof, a butting step (S3) for butting the second end edge (21) of the second steel plate (20) to the first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10), which is cut in the first cut step (S1), and a welding step (S4) for continuously performing welding from the one end (60a) side to the other end (60b) side of a butt portion (60) between the first end edge (11) and the second end edge (21).
