| CLAIMS 1- The invention is the method of working ornamentation material (1) developed in order to provide strong mounting of ornamentation materials (1) on leather and artificial leather, and it is characterized in that; it comprises the process steps of: - production of moulds having holes in the sizes of ornamentation materials (1), - arrangement of ornamentation materials (1) in moulds, - opening holes (21) on leather layers (2), - removal of ornamentation materials (1) from the mould via the sticky surface (41) of the carrier layer (4), - sticking of ornamentation materials (1 ) to the front face (22) of the leather layer (2) together with the carrier layer (4), - obtaining sticky surface (31) by applying adhesive on one face of the support layer (3), - sticking of the support layer (3) on the rear face (23) of the leather layer (2) via its sticky surface (31), - hot pressing of the combined carrier layer (4), ornamentation material (1), leather layer (2) and support layer (3), and - separation of, the carrier layer (4) from the leather layer (2). 2- Method of working ornamentation material (1) according to claim 1 , and it is characterized in that; said carrier layer (4) is transparent one-sided sticky tape or foil. 3- Method of working ornamentation material (1) according to claim 1 , and it is characterized in that; said sticky surface (31) is obtained by applying adhesive, which comprises silicone droplets or hardens when melted by heat and cooled, on one face of the support layer (3). 4- Method of working ornamentation material (1) according to claim 1 , and it is characterized in that; said support layer (3) is textile (fabric) material. 5- Method of working ornamentation material (1) according to claim 1 , and it is characterized in that; said press operation is performed in a way that, hot press face (10) would be found at the support layer (3) side, while cold press face (9) would be found at the carrier layer (4) side. |
The Related Art
The invention relates to mounting of pattern, decoration, and materials for ornamentation on textile products in textile sector.
The present invention particularly relates to method of working ornamentation material on leather, which comprises the operations of mounting of silicone lower surface crystal, glass, and acrylic cut stone or metal button on a support layer, and afterwards mounting of the leather or the artificial leather, on which the holes wherein these materials would be placed are formed, on the support layer, and which is made in a way that it would have increased strength, it would be quick, quality, and its support layer can not be seen.
Background of the Invention
For a long time, mounting of crystal, glass and acrylic cut stone, metal button etc. stones used on textile products (fabric) with the purposes of pattern, decoration, and ornamentation in the textile sector are made by a few different methods, and they have formed a serious sales potential. With the same reason, their use in leather and artificial leather products have also been considered and even products, which are produced in the way that is applied in the textile sector (by direct mounting via heat or ultrasonic welding), have also been introduced to the market. However, since the mounting strength, production process, and finished product quality could not reach the desired power, speed, and quality as the textile (fabric) products, they could not become widespread, and a very large commercial expansion could not be created.
One of the methods of increasing the strength is making the mounting of the crystal stones, which do not have silicone at their lower surface, one by one or via a mould by applying an adhesive below them, but with this method, production process is quite long, and finished product quality is low due to reasons such as flow of adhesive. One of the applications found in the prior art related with leather ornamentation is the patent application with no TR 2005 01476, and it relates to the method of applying marbling art on fabric and leather. The method, which is the subject of the invention, can be also applied on fabric and leather thanks to development of ornamentation applied on marbled paper. According to this, finish taken cloth or craft stretches the leather brought to one of the intermediate drying, lubricating phases in a way that no space would be left at its edges, and lays it on a vessel filled with tragacanth and water patterned with readily-prepared paints in a way that no space is left between it and water, and in this way it is provided to gain pattern. Afterwards, drying, fixing, softening operations are made and the leather and fabric on which marbling art applied is obtained.
In conclusion, the need for a quality and fast ornamentation material working method, which eliminates the drawbacks found in the prior art and said above, different from the previous applications, which is developed in order to provide strong mounting of crystal, glass and acrylic cut stone, metal button etc. ornamentation materials on leather and artificial leather products, and which comprises the process steps of mould production, arrangement of ornamentation materials on moulds, opening holes in leather layers, removal of ornamentation materials from the mould via tin foil, sticking of ornamentation materials to the front face of the leather layer via tin foil, sticking of sticky fabric to the rear face of the leather, applying of hot press, and separation of the tin foil from the leather, and the inadequacy of the prior solutions have necessitated an improvement in the related technical field.
Purpose of the Invention
From the known status of the art, the purpose of the invention is to; different from the above said negative situations; develop an ornamentation material working method in order to provide strong mounting of crystal, glass and acrylic cut stone, metal button etc. ornamentation materials.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which performs the operation of working ornamentation material on leather without leaving this operation to human hand and in a way that it would achieve the same quality result at all times.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which minimizes the time and labour losses to occur during application.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which provides stronger mounting against external factors such as breakage by friction by preventing direct contact with the lower faces of ornamentation materials found at a certain depth inside the leather layer.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which prevents removal of the said ornamentation materials by providing their compaction inside the leather layer via opening of the holes found on the leather layer a little smaller than the ornamentation material to be placed in these holes.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which performs the operation of opening hole on leather layer with minimum labour and minimum error level since the operations is carried out by computer supported laser cutting machines and/or knives in hydraulic cutting presses in a faster manner (by layer cut).
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a method of working ornamentation material, which provides expansion in terms of commercial concerns via application intended for pattern, decoration, and ornamentation on leather products with desired efficiency, speed, and quality.
In order to achieve the above said purposes, a quality and fast ornamentation material working method is developed in order to provide strong mounting of crystal, glass and acrylic cut stone, metal button etc. ornamentation materials on leather and artificial leather products, and it comprises the process steps of mould production, arrangement of ornamentation materials on moulds, opening holes in leather layers, removal of ornamentation materials from the mould via carrier layer, sticking of ornamentation materials to the front face of the leather layer via carrier layers, sticking of sticky support layer to the rear face of the leather layer, applying of hot press, and separation of the carrier layer from the leather layer, respectively.
In order to achieve the said purposes, as an alternative to the said method; ornamentation material can be mounted to the leather layer by performing the operations of opening hole in leather layers, combination of leather layer with the support layer via hot press, placement of ornamentation materials in the holes found on the leather layer, combination of the leather layer, on which ornamentation materials are arranged, with the carrier layer, application of hot press second time and separation of carrier layer from the leather layer, respectively.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all advantages will be understood better in detailed descriptions with the figures given below and with reference to the figures, and therefore, the assessment should be made taking into account the said figures and detailed explanations.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention, will only be disclosed for better understanding of the subject, and will not form any limiting effect.
The said operation starts with operation of moulds having holes with the dimensions of ornamentation materials (1) such as crystal, glass and acrylic cut stone, metal button. Arrangement operation of ornamentation materials (1) on these moulds is made by back-and-forth movement of disorganized ornamentation materials (1) via a spreader tool such as sponge or cloth. Its application is made in the textile sector in this way.
In Figure-1 the side view of a preferred embodiment of the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention, is given. Here, the situations of the leather layer (2), support layer (3) in connection with the said layer (2), and the ornamentation material (1) positioned inside the hole (21) formed on the said layer (2) are found after completion of the operation.
In Figure-2a, the side view of the operation of opening hole (21) on leather layer (2) via laser cutting machine (8) in the method of working ornamentation material
(1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention. In Figure-2b, the side view of the operation of opening hole (21) by hydraulic press (6) on leather layer
(2) via knives (7) in the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention. The said hole (21) is opened a little smaller than the ornamentation material (1) which will be positioned in this hole (21). In this way, strength of the said ornamentation material (1) is increased by providing its compaction inside the leather layer (2) and its removal from its place is prevented.
In Figure-3 and Figure-4, the side view of the operation of carrying of the ornamentation material (1) from the mould to the leather layer (2) via the sticky surface (41) of carrier layer (4) and its mounting in the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention, are given. According to this, the ornamentation material (1) taken from the mould via the sticky surface (41) of the carrier layer (4) is stuck on the front face (22) of the leather layer (2) together with the carrier layer (4). Afterwards, the sticky surface (31) of support layer (3), outer dimensions of which are the same with or smaller than the leather layer's (2) according to use, and one surface of which is covered by adhesive substance melting with heat, is connected with the leather layer (2) in a way that it would contact with the rear face (23) of the leather layer. The said support layer (3) is preferably textile (fabric) material. Sticky surface (31) is obtained by applying adhesive comprising silicone droplets or adhesive that is hardening after being melted by heat and cooled on a face of this material. Transparent one-sided adhesive tape or tin foil is used as the said carrier layer (4).
In Figure-5, the side view of the operation of hot pressing of the leather layer (2), on which the ornamentation material (1) is mounted, in the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention, is given. Combined carrier layer (4), ornamentation material (1), leather layer (2) and support layer (3) are pressed. At this stage, especially in uses of some type of artificial leather layers (2), heat can cause deformations in leather layer (2). In order to prevent this, during pressing, hot press face (10) is provided to be at the support layer (3) side, while cold press face (9) is provided to be at the carrier layer (4) side. Moreover, the setting of the heat given during pressing and the setting of the press compaction time are important for avoiding deformation of leather layer (2).
In Figure-6, the side view of the operation of mounting of the ornamental material with different properties (11) later via hand ultrasonic welding machine (5) in the method of working ornamentation material (1) on leather layer (2), which is the subject of the invention, is given. In the patterns formed of ornamentation materials (11) having different properties (colour or size), working can be repeatedly applied by changing the mould for each colour and size. However, in cases where small numbers of ornamentation material (11) having different properties are used, in order to obtain a faster working, they are placed in the relevant holes (21) in the end via hand ultrasonic welding machines (5). Above said processes comprise the process steps of: production of mould, arrangement of ornamentation materials (1) in the moulds, opening holes (21) in leather layers (2), removal of ornamentation materials (1) from the mould via carrier layer (4), sticking of ornamentation materials (1) to the front face (22) of the leather layer (2) via carrier layer (4), sticking of support layer (3) sticky surface (31) to the rear face (23) of the leather layer (2), applying of hot press, and separation of the carrier layer (4) from the leather layer (2), respectively, and in this way a quality and fast ornament material (1) working method is developed.
As an alternative to the said method; ornamentation material (1) can be mounted to the leather layer (2) by performing the operations of opening hole (21) in leather layers (2), combination of leather layer (2) with the support layer (3) via hot press, placement of ornamentation materials (1) in the holes (21) found on the leather layer (2), combination of the leather layer (2), on which ornamentation materials (1) are arranged, with the carrier layer (4), application of hot press second time and separation of carrier layer (4) from the leather layer (2), respectively.
The invention is the method of working ornamentation material (1) developed in order to provide strong mounting of ornamentation materials (1) on leather and artificial leather, and it is characterized in that; it comprises the process steps of:
- production of moulds having holes in the sizes of ornamentation materials (1),
- arrangement of ornamentation materials (1) in moulds,
- opening holes (21) on leather layers (2), - removal of ornamentation materials (1) from the mould via the sticky surface (41) of the carrier layer (4),
- sticking of ornamentation materials (1) to the front face (22) of the leather layer (2) together with the carrier layer (4),
- obtaining sticky surface (31) by applying adhesive on one face of the support layer (3),
- sticking of the support layer (3) on the rear face (23) of the leather layer (2) via its sticky surface (31), - hot pressing of the combined carrier layer (4), ornamentation material (1), leather layer (2) and support layer (3), and
- separation of the carrier layer (4) from the leather layer (2).
The protection area of this application has been specified under claims and cannot be limited to the descriptions only given as sampling above. It is obvious that a person skilled in the related art can apply the innovation disclosed by this invention into similar purposed other areas by means of changing the parts in form and using similar structures. Therefore, it is also clear that such embodiments lack of novelty criteria and especially the criteria of inventive step.
