Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communication systems, and more particularly, to a partial channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) port indication. A method by a base station (BS) includes configuring a user equipment (UE) with a CSI-RS resource, of one or more CSI-RS resources associated with a CSI report. The CSI-RS includes a set of CSI-RS ports. The BS provides a first indication to the UE of a subset of groups of the CSI-RS ports to be used by the UE for channel measurements and/or a second indication to the UE of a subset of groups of the CSI-RS to be used by the UE for interference measurements. Based on the indication, the UE performs channel measurements and/or interference measurements using the indicated subset of CSI-RS ports.
