Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for enhancing the production of gas in an oxidation process that includes removing acid aerosols in a process gaseous stream subsequent to an acid absorber column and prior to a gas finishing column, and in particular evaporating the acid droplets comprising the aerosol using heat, the heat in one embodiment coming from finished heated gas recycled from downstream of the gas finishing column.
