Title:
METHODS FOR CONFIRMING TRANSACTIONS IN A DISTRIBUTED OUTDOOR ADVERTISING NETWORK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/067928
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods of recognizing printed or written symbols or of recognizing images; to analyzing, surveying, promoting, and advertising; to monitoring and recording the operation of machines and devices; and to payment protocols. The present method for confirming a financial transaction during the broadcast of a video advertisement on a video screen is carried out by recording the surface of the video screen, with the automatic recognition of a video advertisement using a computer vision system. If the computer vision system confirms that a video advertisement is shown during a given period of time, then a financial transaction is carried out and is recorded in a blockchain ledger, and in the opposite instance, the financial transaction is canceled. At the same time as the video advertisement is being recorded, a tally of the actual number of viewers is taken using different video cameras and a computer vision system. After the video advertisement has been shown, information on the actual number of viewers is recorded in a blockchain ledger. The computer vision system uses neural networks to recognize video advertisements and to tally viewers.
