Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide methods and devices for uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission in a WLAN. The method carried out by an AP comprises: setting a Common Info field or a plurality of User Info fields of a trigger frame to indicate whether a resource unit (RU) adaptation is enabled for a plurality of STAs indicated by the plurality of User Info fields and transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) including the trigger frame to the plurality of STAs. The method carried out by an STA comprises: receiving a PPDU including a trigger frame, wherein a Common Info field or a plurality of User Info fields of the trigger frame are set to indicate whether a RU adaptation is enabled for a plurality of STAs including the STA, and decoding the trigger frame to determine whether the RU adaptation is enabled for the STA.
