Abstract:
A system for operating an apparatus through augmented reality is provided. The system includes an image capture unit, an image processing unit, a display, a control device and a control center. The image capture unit captures an image of a real-world environment of a user. The image processing unit processes the captured image to identify a target apparatus. The display is adapted for viewing by the user, which displays to the user an AR information image for the target apparatus. The control device receives from the user an operational input for the target apparatus and transmits the operational input. The control center receives the transmitted operational input and sends an operational signal to the target apparatus. The method is also provided. The system and the method for operating an apparatus through augmented reality can intuitive controls and operations of an apparatus while providing its status and related information.
