Description:
MIASMA REMOVAL DEVICE FROM W.C. AMBIENTS OR THE LIKE

The present invention relates to a miasma removal device from W.C. ambients or the like, comprising air exhausting means, said means being made of at least of an exhauster and of an air duct, said duct being adapted to connect said ambient with the outside.

Some similar devices are known in the market, which are drawing the air from a W.C. ambient and are ejecting the air outside, avoiding the danger that miasmas are forming inside the same ambient. Said devices are conceived for blind ambients, i.e. for ambients, which are not provided with openings towards the outside. They are usually comprising a more or less small opening on a wall, said opening being obtained at a certain height, where an air duct is exhausting the air from the ambient and ejecting it outside.

Frequently, the air exhaustion is automatically controlled, for instance by the light whenever it is put on or according to other ways (for instance, whenever the door is opened). These devices are compulsory, due to sanitary measures for blind ambients. which are utilized as W.C, but they present some drawbacks: the air is not completely and rapidly exhausted, the air exhausting point is not always in the optimal

place, the air exhange is quite slow, and it is not always provided after W.C. is utilized, and so on.

Also the installation cost could be a problem, due to the fact that the air duct is provided into the wall and substantially costly works should be necessary, if an old W.C. ambient should be adjusted or if a new W.C. ambient should be built.

Further devices are drawing the air m points more or less close to the closet and the result is substantially the same: a long time is necessary before all the ambient air is exchanged, the device cost is high and the results are not always satisfying.

The importance of the problem should not be undervalued. At present time, the flat surface is decreasing, due to the building industry high costs and consequently the W.C. surface is decreasing, too; the W.C. are arranged in small dimension corners, where it is not possible to provide an opening with the outside, whereby the air exchange problem becomes quite heavy, mainly because sanitary measures should be complied with, if habitableness could be obtained.

The problem, which the device according to the invention intends to solve is manifold

- at first, a a smrple, economical and easily achievable solution should be found, as far as the air exchange is concerned.

- secondly, the solution should simple for already built W.C ambients. as well as for new building ambients.

- at last, the proposed solution should provide a quick and economical air drawing, so the danger of miasmas should be avoided.

These problems are solved by the device according to the invention, which is characterized by a duct (4), said duct being adapted to draw the air from a water dram channel (7) into a closet ( 1 ), so that a danger of miasma formation and stagnation m said ambient could be avoided.

These and further characteristics will be apparent from the following description and from the alleged drawings, where:

Fig.1 shows a side view of a device according to the invention;

Fig.2 represents a plant view of the same device;

Fig.3 represents a side view of an innovative device according to the invention;

Fig.4 represents a plant view of the device of Fig.3;

Fig.5 represents a side view of a particular embodiment of the device according to the invention;

Fig.6 represents a side view of a further embodiment of the device according to the invention;

Fig.7 represents a side view of a further innovative embodiment of the device according to the invention.

DESCRIPTION

The device according to the invention comprises (Figs.1,2) a closet 1, a water drain tank 2, a water drain duct 3 and an air exhausting duct 4. Said duct 4 is inserted, in a way known per se, into the duct 3, for istance by drilling the duct 3 and by connecting, thanks to a relevant hole, the duct 4 to the duct 3 by means of a simple welding operation or by a silicone application around the hole, which is obtained by the drilling operation.

The air exhausting duct 4 is adapted to exhaust the air by means of a similar opening 5, which is obtained in correspondence of a lower part of a water drain channel 7, by means of an exhauster 6. which is arranged outside the wall.

It is apparent that, thanks to a simple drilling and welding operation, it is possible to connect, outside the W.C. ambient, the most critical point of said ambient, i.e. the closet 1, which is involved by the air exhausting operation in correspondence of water drain channel 7, without any particular adjustements of the same closet 1.

In the case the companies, which are manufacturing closets, are interested to provide the same closets 1 with a hole for applying a water drain duct 8 and a further hole for applying an air exhausting duct 9 (Figs.3.4), the solution could be embodied in a more simple and economical way, as it is no more necessary to drill the water drain duct. Also now, the air is exhausted directly from the channel 7, the same channel through which the water is drained.

Further embodiments are provided, in the case the water tank is made of a tank 1 1 , which is directly applied on the closet 1. In such a case, it is necessary to make a hole on the rear edge of the same closet, so that a duct 12 could be connected to it. Said duct 12 should exhaust the air from the inside of closet 1 (Fig.5). In other cases, (Fig.6), an adapter 13 could be applied to the tank 1 1 , for connecting, in a way known per se, an air exhausting duct 14 from the inside of the closet 1.

The optimal solution, which will be embodied by the closet manufacturing companies, comprises a closet 16 (Fig.7), on which a tank 17 will be directly applied (or connected by means of a traditional duct). Said tank should feed the water dram through a substantially oval channel 18. which is distributed all around the closet 16, whereas the air will be exhausted by a duct 19, which is connected to a substantially substantially oval channel 21. This channel 21 is internal with respect to the channel 18 and the channels 18.21 are adapted to develop all around the internal perimeter of the closet 16. The water is drained through an opening 22. which is obtamed in correpondence of the channel 18. whereas the air is exhausted from the mside of the closet 16 through an opening 23. which is obtained in correspondence of the lower part of the channel 21.

It is apparent from this descĪ€ption that the application of the device according to the invention is adapted to solve the problem of the sanitary requirements in the W C. in any case, both of the blind ambients. and of the ambients, which are provided with windows, m a simple, reliable and economical way. in the already built houses, as well as in the houses to be built

The innovative concept, which was described, should be extended to all the solutions, which will be provide the possibility to eliminate the danger of miasmas formation, by exhausting the air directly from the most critical point of all the W.C. ambient, i.e fron the inside of the closet
