Title:
MICRO-MOTION BALANCING ULTRATHIN KEY ASSEMBLY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/147634
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A micro-motion balancing ultrathin key assembly. An electrical component for generating a switch signal is mounted on a base plate (1). Also comprised between the base plate (1) and a keycap (2) are a micro-motion unit (4) and a balancing scissors frame (3) consisting of a male frame (32) and a female frame (31). The micro-motion unit (4) is arranged in a hollow section of the scissors frame (3) and is provided with a structural member (43) used for triggering the electrical component to generate a signal. The micro-motion unit (4) is also provided with a press area (432). The press area (432) is in contact with the bottom section of the keycap (2). When pressed, the keycap (2) allows the scissors frame (3) to travel downwards and to pass through the press area (432) so that the structural member (43) of the micro-motion unit (4) triggers the electrical component to generate the signal. With the reasonable utilization of space, a micro-motion spring piece (41) and the balancing scissors frame (3) are assembled in an ultrathin key, and with the keycap being provided with a large surface area, an electrical signal can be outputted when any position of the keycap (2) is pressed; moreover, the micro-motion spring piece (41) also brings forth a short press feel, the advantages of excellent touch and sensitivity are provided, the external volume is ultrathin, and this is applicable in notebook computers.
