Abstract:

A micro-region semi-solid additive manufacturing method. A rod-shaped material is used as a consumable material; heating modes such as high energy beams, electric arcs and resistance heat are used to act on the front end of the consumable material to enable the front end to be in a semi-solid state in which solid and liquid phases coexist; rotational torque and axial thrust applied to the consumable material have powerful effects such as shearing, stirring and extrusion on semi-solid metal, that is, mold-free semi-solid rheoforming is performed. The consumable material is transited to bottom layer metal continuously in this manner to form metallurgical bonding, the stacking process is repeated according to a planned route obtained after discretization slicing treatment, and then an object or a stack layer in a special shape can be formed. The method is simple in operation process, achieves excellent product performance, resolves the problems such as structure homogeneity, performance reliability, stress and deformation, air holes and cracks of a formed piece, and can be applied to the forming of a large component, the repairing of a damaged part and the preparation of a composite material.
