Abstract:
A hydrophobic-solvent solution or dispersion of a dithiol compound such as 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one or of DBNPA is microencapsulated with a melamine resin wall material. Thus, the antibacterial ingredient is stabilized by being protected against the surrounding atmosphere. The antibacterial ingredient can hence retain its effect over long when used as an industrial antibacterial, mildew-proofing agent, etc., and can be reduced in skin irritation.
