Title:
MICROFLUID DEVICE AND METHOD OF SEPARATING SUBSTANCES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/074906
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It is intended to provide a microfluid device, by which two or more substances
contained in a fluid in a dissolved or dispersed state can be easily and continuously
separated at a high separation level with the use of a potential gradient (i.e.,
“a field”) interacting with a substance to be separated and thus
generating a force of selectively moving the substance as the driving force,
and a method of separating substances. To solve this problem, there has been completed
a microfluid device wherein a fluid containing the substances to be separated
is passed through in divided channels, which are located almost in parallel to
a first inner wall forming a cavity (a separation channel), and then taken out
via a first discharge port or a second discharge port.
