Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for separating a target cell. An apparatus for separating a target cell according to an embodiment of the present invention is a microfluidic apparatus that is mounted on a rotation driving part and induces a flow of fluid by centrifugal force to separate a target cell in a biological sample. The microfluidic apparatus comprises: a sample chamber in which the sample and a first density gradient substance are received and which separates a first separation substance in the sample; a reaction chamber which is located adjacent to the sample chamber and in which the sample and a binding substance to be bound to a second separation substance in the sample are received; and a separation chamber in which a second density gradient substance is received and which receives the sample from the reaction chamber and separates the target cell from the second separation substance having the binding substance bound thereto.
