Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a microfluidic chip that can prevent backflow of a reaction solution in the microfluidic chip and can prevent contamination between reaction solutions, and to provide a method for manufacturing said microfluidic chip. One representative microfluidic chip of the present invention has: an input part by which a liquid is introduced; a flow channel section through which the liquid flows; and an output part that discharges the liquid, or a drug fixing section for causing contact between the liquid and a drug (hereinafter, referred to as an "output part" to standardize the expression), the microfluidic chip being characterized in that the flow channel section has a region (hydrophobic region) where a contact angle of a surface in contact with the liquid is 90-130 degrees, inclusive. The flow channel section is formed by being surrounded by at least a floor material layer on a substrate, a partition layer, and an upper cover layer, and a surface of at least one from among the floor material layer, the partition layer, and the upper cover layer comprises the hydrophobic region.
