Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lactic acid-producing microorganism of Saccharomyces sp. having a reduced pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC) activity and enhanced aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALD) and acetyl-CoA synthetase (ACS) activities, and a method for producing a lactic acid from a medium of the microorganism by culturing the microorganism.
