Title:
MICROORGANISM HAVING MULTIPLE GENES ENCODING PHA SYNTHASE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PHA USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/146195
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the crystallization speed of slowly crystallizing PHA copolymer, improve melt workability of PHA copolymer in working by injection molding, film molding, blow molding, fiber spinning, extrusion foaming and bead foaming, and improve productivity. Provided is a method for producing a PHA mixture, the method comprising a step for simultaneously producing in the cells of a microorganism two or more types of PHA having melting points that differ by at least 10˚C, and doing so by culturing the microorganism which has both a gene that encodes PHA synthase derived from the genus Aeromonas that synthesizes copolymer PHA (A) and a gene that encodes PHA synthase that synthesizes PHA (B) having a melting point that differs from that of copolymer PHA (A) by at least 10˚C.
