Abstract:
A microphone unit having a microphone body built in a housing, the microphone unit detecting a sound entering the inside of the housing from a sound hole in the housing with the microphone body. An optical detector that detects light entering the inside of the housing from the sound hole is provided in the housing. Therefore, by monitoring the detection level of this optical detector, it is possible to detect the occurrence of an obstacle by which the sound hole is blocked from a change in the detection level of the optical detector.
