Abstract:
[Problem] To improve the qualities of a microporous film formed of a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin. [Solution] A polyvinylidene fluoride-based microporous film comprising a base film and a microporous film, said microporous film being an asymmetric film and comprising a skin layer, in which micropores are formed, and a support layer for supporting the skin layer, in which pores larger than the micropores are formed, wherein: the microporous film is formed of a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin material; the skin layer has multiple spheres; multiple linear binders extend in the three-dimensional directions from each of the spheres; and the adjacent spheres are bound to each other via the linear binders so as to form a three-dimensional network structure having the spheres as cross points. The polyvinylidene fluoride-based microporous film has a number of defects (the number of colored coarse voids) of less than 20.
