Abstract:
Provided is a microporous membrane which is suitable for use as a battery separator and gives a battery having satisfactory low-temperature characteristics. The microporous membrane comprises a thermoplastic resin, and has an ion resistance of 0.20 or less, a reaction resistance of 0.45 or less, and a total resistance of 0.60 or less. Due to this, the microporous membrane is suitable for use as a battery separator and can give a battery having satisfactory low-temperature characteristics.
