Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a shutter mechanism, which has high durability, and which is capable of performing high-speed operations, and a microscope that is provided with the shutter mechanism. [Solution] A microscope relating to the present technology is provided with a microscope optical system, a first light receiving element, and a shutter mechanism. The shutter mechanism has: a rotative power source that generates rotative power; a crank, which converts the rotative power generated by means of the rotative power source into reciprocating movement; and a shutter connected to the crank. The shutter reciprocates, in accordance with the movement of the crank, between a first position where a first optical path from the microscope optical system to the first light receiving element is shut, and a second position where the first optical path is not shut.
