Abstract:
A microscope comprising: an illumination optical system that emits excitation light to a specimen; a detector that detects fluorescent light emitted from the specimen; and an observation optical system that guides the fluorescent light to the detector, wherein the observation optical system includes a first optical filter having a wavelength characteristic which varies between reflection and transmission depending on the position where light enters, a second optical filter which is disposed in an optical path for light reflected by the first optical filter, in which the boundary wavelength for transmission varies depending on a position along a first direction, and which allows transmission of light having a wavelength longer than a first boundary wavelength at a position where reflected light enters, and a third optical filter which is disposed in an optical path for light reflected by the first optical filter, in which the boundary wavelength for transmission varies depending on a position along the first direction, and which allows transmission of light having a wavelength shorter than a second boundary wavelength at a position where reflected light enters, and the first boundary wavelength is shorter than the second boundary wavelength.
