Title:
MICROSCOPIC SUBSTANCE ENCAPSULATION METHOD, MICROSCOPIC SUBSTANCE DETECTION METHOD, AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING MICROSCOPIC SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/181443
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides, as a technology for encapsulating, in a tiny volume of liquid droplet, a to-be-detected substance such as nucleic acid, protein, virus, or cell by means of a simple operation so as to enable highly sensitive detection, a method for encapsulating a microscopic substance in at least some of a plurality of recesses formed in the surface of a substrate so as to be spaced away from each other, the method comprising (1) a first step for disposing an insertion body above the recess-formed surface of the substrate, positioning the relative positions of said insertion body and the substrate by a supporting part provided to the insertion body in such a manner as to have the undersurface of the insertion body and the recess-formed surface of the substrate face each other, thereby providing a solution introduction space between the undersurface of the insertion body and the recess-formed surface of the substrate, and providing a solution discharge space that is connected with the solution introduction space and is provided above the undersurface of the insertion body and between the substrate and the insertion body so as to be positioned within the substrate and/or within the insertion body.
