Abstract:
A new insulation system is provided using microspheres. This insulation system can be used to provide insulated panels, clamshells, and insulate annular spaces around objects. The primary componenets of the microsphere insulation system include a panel envelope formed by top (20) and bottom (30) facw sheets bonded to low thermal condictivity edges using an adhesive. Evacuation and fill ports (60) are preferably inset into the top face sheet.
