Abstract:
A high-frequency microwave heater for achieving desired cooked state of an object
to be heated suited for the kind of the object when a grill menu is selected and heating
the object with an improved heating efficiency. The microwave heater comprises
a heating chamber where a heating pan on which an object to be heated is placed is
disposed detachably, microwave generating means, a waveguide for transmitting
a microwave from the microwave generating means, a rotary antenna for emitting
the microwave from the waveguide into the heating chamber, drive means for rotatingly
driving the rotary antenna, and operation section for selecting a grill menu
for heating the object placed on the heating pan or a warming menu for heating the
object without using the heating pan, and control means for controlling the drive
means according to the output signal from the operating section. The control
means controls the drive means so as to vary the direction of the portion of strong
radiation directivity of the rotary antenna according to the output signal from
the operation section.
