Abstract:
A microwave plasma igniter comprises a microwave resonance cavity (100), a quartz glass pipe (200), a tangential air supply device and a pulverized coal flow blowing device (600). The location with the largest microwave field intensity within the quartz glass pipe (200) forms a microwave plasma generation area (B) into which a pulverized coal flow (700) is axially fed through the pulverized coal flow blowing device (600). When the input power of microwave exceeds a critical value, primary ionization is generated in the microwave plasma generation area (B) under the excitation of fine pulverized coal in the pulverized coal flow (700), and is transited to the whole interior of the quartz glass pipe (200) by avalanche effect, thereby forming a microwave plasma torch. The pulverized coal flow (700) is ignited simultaneously to form a pulverized coal microwave plasma torch (800) which is axially blown out from the upper end of the quartz glass pipe (200) along the quartz glass pipe (200). By the interaction between pulverized coal and microwave plasma, the temperature of the output torch of the igniter is increased, the capabilities of ignition, combustion assistance and flame stabilization of the igniter is improved, and the shortcoming of the prior art is eliminated that a coaxial inner conduct for exciting microwave plasma torch tends to be melted.
