Abstract:
The present invention relates to a microwave plasma torch for treating a metal compound, such as a metal oxide, a metal chloride, and a metal fluoride, or a metal compound-containing material, metal powder, and the like, and a method for treating those materials by using same. One aspect of the present invention provides a microwave plasma torch comprising: an outer conductor which is coupled to a waveguide and has a space formed therein, wherein microwave is introduced through the waveguide and plasma gas is introduced into the outer conductor; quartz disposed on a part where the outer conductor and the waveguide are coupled to each other; and an inner conductor disposed in the outer conductor co-axially with the outer conductor, a metal precursor being put into the inner conductor.
