Abstract:
A microwave surgery electrode device the center electrode of which has a marker fixed thereto for giving a susceptibility artifact with a constant size and shape free of variation from electrode device to electrode device under monitoring by an MRI apparatus. The electrode device comprises a center conductor (6), a tubular insulator (4) covering the center conductor except the end section, a tubular external electrode (3) covering it except the end section of the insulator (4), and a center electrode (5) covering the end of the center conductor (6). The center conductor (6), an insulator (4), the external electrode (3), and the center electrode (5) are made of a nonmagnetic material. The end section of the center electrode is capped with a cylindrical marker member (7) formed of a magnetic material. At least one projection is provided on the side face of the center electrode (6) on the end side of the marker member (7). The marker member (7) is engaged with the projection in the end direction.
