Title:
MICROWAVE TRANSMISSION LINE INTEGRATED MICROWAVE GENERATING ELEMENT AND MICROWAVE TRANSMISSION LINE INTEGRATED MICROWAVE DETECTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/101040
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A microwave generating and microwave detecting portions of an electronic circuit are made highly efficient and downsized. A microwave generating element (A) comprising a lower electrode (1), a magnetoresistive element forming layer (3) formed in an insular form on the lower electrode (1), an insulation element (7) formed on the lower electrode (1) so as to surround the magnetoresistive element forming layer (3), and an upper electrode (5) formed on the insulation element (7) and the magnetoresistive element forming layer (3). The magnetoresistive element forming layer (3) has, sequentially from the lower electrode (1) side, a magnetizing fixed layer (3a), an intermediate layer (3b) and a magnetizing free layer (3c). The magnetizing free layer (3c), which must produce resonance vibration, is preferably, for example, up to 200 nm square in sectional area size and about 1-5 nm in film thickness. The magnetizing fixed layer (3a) requires at least about ten times the thickness of the magnetizing free layer (3c) if it is made of a single material. It is possible to use a magnetic metal multilayer film using antiferromagnetic coupling as the magnetizing fixed layer (3a).
