Abstract:
A midair image displaying apparatus comprises: an image forming unit which forms an original image; a waveguide which guides light for the original image to output the light in a different location; a holographic optical device which is arranged in the path of the light output from the waveguide and includes a hologram pattern that diffracts the light by a target diffraction angle and outputs same, the light being output from the waveguide and incident on a certain incident angle region; and a floating element which includes a plurality of corner reflectors and forms a floating image of the original image by forming an image in a certain midair location from the light output from the holographic optical device.
