The military data link integration solution (100) provides a common and reusable approach to interface tactical data link radios (500) with legacy subsystems (600) on each unique military platform. The solution (100) implements the full Link 16 J-Series message set (550). Enhancements are provided that allow the military user to activate or deactivate specific messages (260) for each unique platform and to customize message processing and display selections through user defined instructions (350). The solution (100) also provides the capability to automatically re-configure itself (210, 410) for subsystem interfaces and the integration of subsystem functions on each unique platform without the need to modify the product.
