Abstract:
The invention relates to a milk/air separator (8) comprising a cylinder (21) which in operation is substantially vertical and is provided with an outlet (11) for milk at an end of the cylinder, an inlet for milk (30) at a distance from the outlet, a piston body (22) which is up and downward moveable inside the cilinder and is drivably coupled to a drive device (24) for moving the piston body up and down inside the cylinder from a bottom position to a top position, wherein the piston body comprises at least one liquid passage which is provided with a block for said liquid passage in order to press milk out of the cylinder during displacement of the piston body from the top position to the bottom position, and wherein the milk/air separator is further provided with a passage at an upper end of the cylinder above the top position and which is connectable to a reduced pressure device (12) for generating a reduced pressure inside the cilinder, and a level sensor (51) for measuring a level of liquid between the bottom position and the top position.
