Abstract:
The present invention provides a technology for widening the band of a transmission line by not using a frequency-dependent line in a propagation path. A millimeter-wave antenna comprises: a slit 1 provided in a GND conductor 6 formed on a first surface of a circuit board 2; a horn antenna 5 in which a first opening and a second opening are provided; and an impedance matching box of a slot shape (slot 4) provided between the slit 1 and the first opening of the horn antenna 5 . The impedance matching box is the slot shape filled with a dielectric substance having a different dielectric constant from that of a dielectric substance constituting the circuit board 2 . In the impedance matching box, the length in a propagation direction of the slot shape is less than a quarter of the wavelength of a used frequency upper limit. In the impedance matching box, the size in a magnetic field direction of the rectangular shape of the slot shape is larger than the first opening of the horn antenna 5.
