Abstract:
A mirror image file conversion method and apparatus, which relate to the technical field of virtualization. The method comprises: a conversion server acquiring an original mirror image file of a virtual machine in an original platform (301); the conversion server detecting whether the original mirror image file has a first file feature and a second file feature corresponding to a target platform (302); and when the original mirror image file does not have at least one file feature of the first file feature and the second file feature, modifying the original mirror image file into a target mirror image file of the virtual machine in the target platform by calling a pre-determined interface, wherein the target mirror image file has the first file feature and the second file feature (303). A conversion server can convert an original mirror image file to obtain a target mirror image file of a virtual machine in a target platform by calling a pre-determined interface to directly modify the original mirror image file, without the need of modifying same after starting the original mirror image file as the virtual machine, thereby saving resources and improving the mirror image file conversion efficiency.
