Abstract:
Provided is a misfire determination device for an engine in which explosion occurs at irregular intervals and which has a plurality of cylinders and has different crankshaft angles having an angular displacement between explosion strokes. The misfire determination device calculates an amount of generated torque correlation that correlates with generated torque by using an angular position signal of the crankshaft, and determines a misfire on the basis of a mean value of the amount of generated torque correlation within an interval of less than one cycle of the engine at an angular position of the crankshaft, which is different from an angular position for ignition timing.
