Provided in the present invention are a mitral valve opening distance detection method, and an electronic device and a storage medium. The detection method comprises: acquiring position information of a mitral valve region of interest according to the acquired current frame of heartbeat image; according to the position information of the mitral valve region of interest, segmenting, by using a valve leaflet segmentation model, the mitral valve region of interest corresponding to the current frame of heartbeat image, so as to acquire a mitral valve leaflet mask image; and performing connected domain analysis on the mitral valve leaflet mask image, and acquiring, according to an analysis result of the connected domain analysis, a mitral valve opening distance corresponding to the current frame of heartbeat image. In the present invention, a mitral valve opening distance can be automatically detected, so as to provide an evaluation basis for diagnosing whether a mitral valve is narrow, such that not only can the overall algorithm accuracy be improved, but a differentiation problem which may be generated by human factors can also be reduced.
