Abstract:
Provided is a mixed fiber spunbond non-woven fabric, which has excellent initial hydrophilicity, long-lasting hydrophilicity, liquid dispersibility, liquid vapor dispersibility, moisture permeability, breathability, softness, fluffing resistance, elasticity and feel, and which is ideal for use as the front sheet, second sheet, absorber wrapping sheet (core-wrap) or backing sheet of an absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin with less stickiness, panty liner, incontinence pad or disposable diaper, and also provided is a method for production of the same. The mixed fiber spunbond non-woven fabric includes from 90 to 10 wt% of long thermoplastic resin fibers (A) which have been rendered hydrophilic and from 10 to 90 wt% of long thermoplastic elastomer (B) fibers, and has a strength ratio (strength when stretched to 20% of the elongation at maximum stretch [maximum elongation]/maximum strength) of not more than 40% and a bulk density of from 0.10 to 0.40 g/cm3.
