Provided is a method for charging an electric vehicle, comprising: a main control device sorting a plurality of pieces of received charging request information according to a pre-set sorting rule, wherein the charging request information comprises positional information about an electric vehicle to be charged; the main control device sending a charging instruction to a charging system according to the sorting; the charging system receiving the charging instruction, processing same, and transmitting same to an automated guided vehicle; and the automated guided vehicle traveling to the position where the electric vehicle to be charged is located according to the positional information, and charging the electric vehicle to be charged.
