Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a mobile communication device and communication control method whereby unnecessary transmission and reception of information are avoided and power consumption is reduced by restricting transmission and/or reception of information with another communication device so as not to be performed in circumstances in which transmission and/or reception of information with another communication device is/are not necessary. A mobile communication device provided with: a movement detection sensor provided to a moving body, for detecting movement of the moving body; a communication unit for communicating with another communication device; and a control unit for determining whether the moving body is moving, on the basis of the output of the movement detection sensor; transmission and/or reception of information with the other communication device via the communication unit being performed only when the control unit has determined that the moving body is moving.
