Abstract:

A processing load imposed on a server apparatus (ESMLC) when simplified positioning is carried out in a radio base station (eNB) is reduced. An exchange (MME) comprises a positioning request transmitting unit (24) and a positioning result transmitting unit (25). The positioning request transmitting unit (24) transmits a "Location Request" message to the radio base station (eNB) if it is determined in accordance with a "Provide Subscriber Location" message that simplified positioning needs to be performed on a mobile station (UE). The positioning request transmitting unit (24) transmits the "Location Request" massage to the server apparatus (ESMLC) if it is determined in accordance with the "Provide Subscriber Location" message that positioning other than the simplified positioning needs to be performed on the mobile station (UE). The positioning result transmitting unit (25) transmits a result of positioning performed on the mobile station (UE), which is received thereby from the radio base station (eNB) or the server apparatus (ESMLC), to another server apparatus (SMLC).
