Abstract:
Disclosed is a technology relating to a mobile communication network failure monitoring system and method. A mobile communication network failure monitoring system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a section-specific index value collecting unit for collecting a quantified index value about a predetermined index which indicates a communication situation of each corresponding communication section between nodes included in a mobile communication network; an index value pattern detecting unit for detecting an index value pattern of the mobile communication network by using the index values collected according to each of the communication sections; an index value pattern learning unit for storing an index value pattern of the mobile communication network detected when a failure of the mobile communication network occurs, and a corresponding failure cause, and then learning an index value pattern of each failure cause of the mobile communication network; and a failure information providing unit which compares an index value pattern of the mobile communication network detected during a predetermined failure monitoring time and the learned index value pattern, and then provides information on whether a failure occurs in the mobile communication network and information on the failure cause. Accordingly, the system can accurately and reliably detect, in a knowledge-based approach, failures caused by various causes in various sections of a mobile communication network, and not only can notify of the occurrence of a failure but can also provide failure cause information in real time.
