Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal and to a method for inputting text using same, wherein the method for inputting text using the mobile communication terminal involves receiving a text input from a user through a keypad, processing the inputted text using a processor, and outputting the processed text. The mobile communication terminal includes an arrangement of keys for horizontal strokes corresponding to vowels, short horizontal strokes, vertical strokes, and short vertical strokes, and the keys are used to input text according to the stroke sequence of vowels. As described above, the mobile communication terminal and method for inputting text using same of the present invention are used to input text according to the stroke sequence of vowels, enabling a user to input text in the same sequence as handwriting so as to increase user convenience. In addition, frequently used English vowels are arranged separately from one another on the keys of the keypad, and keys for the functions of English-Korean conversion, spacing, special character conversion, number conversion, repetition, and punctuation are arranged for use, so that the time expended to implement functions can be reduced.
