Abstract:
This mobile device is used for an authentication system (1) that performs authentication to control an authentication subject by code matching via short-range wireless communication, and comprises: an acceleration sensor (34, 34c, 34d); a communication section (32, 32a) that performs short-range wireless communication with antennas (24a to 24d, 25, 26) provided in the authentication subject; and a reception stop section (355, 355a, 355b) that stops receiving operations by the communication section on the basis of the detection result of the acceleration sensor. The mobile device further comprises: a malfunction detection section (356, 356a, 356b, 356c, 356d) that detects a malfunction in the acceleration sensor; and an operation switching section (357) which, if a malfunction in the acceleration sensor is detected by the malfunction detection section, prevents the reception stop section from stopping the receiving operations by the communication section.
