Abstract:

A mobile instant communication method and system based on position service, the system includes two or more than two mobile terminals including GPS receiver and embedded GIS system (11), a mobile network gateway (12) and a Location Based Service (LBS) remote server (13). The embedded GIS system includes a GIS engine and a electronic map database. The mobile terminal is connected to the LBS remote server through the mobile network gateway. More than two mobile terminals can be grouped with each other in the LBS remote server. The mobile terminal online or interacting can send position information to online single friend or all the friends in interaction group. Receiving mobile terminal users receive the position information from sending mobile terminal, then the embedded GIS engine takes corresponding electronic map from the electronic map database as background, and the position information is displayed on the electronic map to allow the receiving mobile terminal users to know the position of opposite party, content of the sending information and occurred position intuitionally.
