Abstract:
The present solution relates to a mobile phone application information notification method and system based on a set top box. The method comprises: establishing, in a set top box, a smallest virtual machine corresponding to a mobile phone system, sending, after an application is selected on the mobile phone, the selected application and the attributes of the mobile phone to the set top box, and running the application on the set top box virtual machine. When the mobile phone is in a standby state, the application information notification function of the set top box is started, and the application is started in the virtual machine for information notification, such that when the mobile phone is not carried by the user, the application information can still be notified to the user and the user can view the application information in a timely manner without neglecting important information, thereby avoiding possible undesirable influence and loss to the user, and bringing convenience to users.
