Abstract:
A mobile radio communication system includes a BSC (Base Transceiver Station) and a BTS (Base Station Controller) connected through ATM lines, and an MS (Mobile Station) for radio communication with the BTS. The system can be applicable to a CDMA digital mobile telephone system by IS-95 to lighten the load on the lines and to lighten the processing loads on the BSC and BTS. The BSC has means for returning, when it captures an upstream voice signal containing the PMR (Power Measurement Report) information from the MS through the BTS, the PMR information contained in the upstream voice signal included in a voice frame by data analysis to the BTS. The BTS has means for extracting the PMR information on the voice frame and transmits only the voice frame to the MS.
