Abstract:
In order to achieve the objective of the present invention, a mobile robot according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main body; a driving unit for moving the main body in an operation region; a battery for supplying power to the driving unit; and a control unit for controlling the driving unit such that the mobile robot travels along the wall of the operation region in order to move the main body toward a charging stand when the remaining power of the battery drops below a reference power value. When the moving route of the main body forms a closed curve while the driving unit travels along the wall, the control unit controls the driving unit such that the main body escapes from a region corresponding to the closed curve.
