Abstract:
In order to achieve the solution to the problem of the present invention, a mobile robot according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a main body; a driving unit for moving the main body; a camera installed on one side of the main body to capture an image related to a marker; a memory for storing information related to a pattern of the marker; and a controller for extracting information related to at least one vertical direction component included in the outer appearance of the marker in the captured image, detecting information related to the position and posture of the main body on the basis of information related to at least one from among the extracted vertical direction component and the pattern, and controlling the driving unit on the basis of at least one from among the detected position and posture of the main body.
