Abstract:
The present invention provides a mobile terminal which can activate a fingerprint input unit when the mobile terminal is in a power saving state. To this end, the mobile terminal may comprise: a display unit; a fingerprint input unit which forms a mutual layer structure with the display unit; and
a control unit for, when the display unit is in an off-state, activating the fingerprint input unit upon receiving a touch input satisfying a preconfigured condition, and controlling the display unit to be switched to an on-state when a fingerprint recognized through the fingerprint input unit matches pre-registered fingerprint data.
