Abstract:
A frame is acquired by photographing with a photographing unit, original position data of an original is detected from the frame, the original type of the original is determined, and the image quality of the original image data of the original is calculated on the basis of the original position data and the original type. It is determined whether the image quality is at a level allowing character recognition, and if the image quality is determined not to be at a level allowing character recognition, a frame is acquired by photographing again with the photographing unit.
