Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal that can play a streaming video and to a method for playing a streaming video in the mobile terminal. The present invention is characterised by comprising: a wireless communication unit, which receives, from an external server, packet data for providing a video streaming service; a memory unit, which stores at least one advertisement image; and a control unit, which, in response to the selection of a user, uses the received packet data to play a streaming image, and, if buffering of the streaming video occurs due to a reception delay of one or more of the packet data, plays at least part of the pre-stored advertisement image during the buffering.
